About the Location:
The images are captured in a remote desert near Death Valley, California, the hottest place in North America. When the air temperature hits 120°F the ground temperature bakes near 200°F. The noon silence is thick. Only insects, lizards and scorpions survive the heat. People die without shade. Violent late afternoon dust storms settle at sunset. Luke 17:20-21 - Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." Mark 10:13-16 - People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
